ONCE UPON A TIME,
There lived a village girl name, Grizzabella. Grizzabella was named Grizzy for short as there was another village girl called Bella. Grizzy grew up as a beautiful young teenager. She was known as the naughtiest girl in the village, even naughtier than the naughtiest boy in the village. She became mean, the day, five girls did not let her join them as they treated her differently. The truth was, even though the five girls were richer than her, they were not as beautiful as her. Soon enough, they spread rumours about her. therefore, she broke down and cried and swore to be mean to all the villagers except her parents.
On her eighteenth birthday, she decided to play a trick on everyone in the village. She pretended to be nice; she said the nicest words she knew she would never say.
Everyone was amazed about what had happened and was glad it happened. On that same day grizzy met a boy, about her age, who was not one of the villagers. Her beauty attracted him that he asked if he could hang out with her. She felt her heart beat faster as he spoke. Grizzy said, "why not?" she finally felt accepted by someone although he was not from the village.
Grizzy and the boy spent the whole day in the woods. Where she showed him where she hang out. She had brought him to her tree house, where she actually built, all by herself. She had learned how to cut and fix wood from her father, her father is a carpenter of a shop in the village.
She never painted the wood of the tree house as she like the colour of the natural caramel brown. The boy didn't believe her at first when she said she build it her-self. Only after, he looked into her eyes that he saw tears, because he didn't believe her. When he entered the tree house, he was amazed to see, paintings of so many things the earth could hold. They talked about everything except themselves. When they felt hungry, she brought him back to the village and showed him the way to the fountain where they had met, earlier on. Grizzy asked him to close his eyes, make a wish and count to twenty. He did as told, and when he opened his eyes, grizzy was gone, without a good-bye.
The next day he asked around for grizzy, he remembered her mentioning that her father was a carpenter in the village, not knowing how to get to the tree house, he went to look for her father. After telling her father about his daughter, her father called for grizzy. Grizzy came out and was shocked to see the boy. However, she was back to her mean self. She told him to "Get lost" and pushed him out of the shop. The boy was confused and went to sit by the fountain. Soon after, five girls approached him, he asked about grizzy and said that she has always been like that since she grew up.
They changed subject about grizzy and they each told him about themselves. He wasn't listening to a word they were saying ever since they changed the subject, his mind was focused on grizzy. He was confused and upset at how she treated her but it was the first time someone shouted and pushed him. Knowing that, he is a prince of a nearby town. If his personal guard saw what had happened, he would personally carry her by her hair and sentence her to jail forever. He thank god that his personal guard wasn't around. He went back to reality and saw five pairs of eyes looking flirtatiously back at him. He stood up and left them, they turn to look at each other and started to cry.
He stomped into grizzy's father's shop. He took grizzy by the hand and brought her outside, he said "Why? What happened?" grizzy could feel her tears coming out, she ran, as fast as she could, into the woods. He chased after her. Finally, reaching the tree house, grizzy quickly shut the door and locked it. He knocked hard and it scared her. "Grizzy, please open up... if not I am going to climb into the window, who knows, I might fall." after ten heartbeats, she opened. The first thing he saw was tears in her eyes. He climbed in and sat beside her, he asked, yet again, "What happened, did I do something wrong? You didn't say good-bye last night, you just left." For the first time being mean, she said sorry. She told him the whole story about herself; in between sobs and hiccups. He pulled her in and let her head lay comfortably on his shoulders. He told her, he was prince Andrew from the nearby town. He also told her that she was the first person who dared to shout and push him.
And the consequences of his personal guard saw it. At the thought of his personal guard, who would personally carry her by her hair and sentence her to jail forever, that would break his heart and at that same moment, he was sure he loved her and would want to live his entire life with her.
One year later, Andrew proposed to Grizzy and they got married. Grizzy visits her parents every weekend. On every weekend, without fail, the five girls would say they want to be her friend. “Too late” Grizzy will always say and smile at Andrew as he held her hands in his and never want to let it go.
